Dear fellow WI members
By the time that you are reading this, the online NFWI Annual Meeting will have taken place and I hope that you enjoyed all aspects of the day and that you took something away that was special to you and will inspire you and be a reminder of how wonderful our organisation is. I don’t suppose our predecessors envisaged us being part of such an important meeting remotely or that the word remotely even existed!
In other news from the federation, you will see that arrangements for the WI Day in September are well underway and we look forward to you visiting us at the Tackley office.
Arrangements are also underway for next year’s OFWI Annual Meeting and all Sub-Committees have met to share plans for our programme of events for next year. Always something going on, but would we have it any other way?
Now, the WI Adviser Team have been out and about meeting many of you and hearing your thoughts on the organisation. One thing that has become apparent is that the wonderful resource of MyWI is a secret too well kept!! This resource is not to be missed and supports all of us at WI and federation level – https://mywi.thewi.org.uk
MyWI is the dedicated website for WI members and Supporters. Here you will find everything you need to get the most from the WI – from essential information and advice for running
your WI, to campaign action packs as well as special interest projects. We are here to help you access this area so please do make contact the office if you are experiencing any difficulties.
And to finish off – a few facts about June! Depending on where you are, June has both the longest and shortest days of the year. 21 June marks the longest day of the year in the
northern hemisphere and the shortest day of the year in the southern hemisphere – so whatever you are doing this month – enjoy.
With love and best wishes.
