Wells – City, Cathedral and Bishop's Palace

Come with us to visit the beautiful City of Wells, England’s smallest City, which offers a wide range of independent shops, cafes and bars. Visit the Bishop’s Palace and perhaps see the swans ringing the bell to be fed. They can be found on the moat, which is situated within the gardens, which are recognised by the RHS. Can you find the springs that gave the City its name?

Inside the Cathedral you will find stained glass windows and an octagonal Chapter House. Stroll down Vicars’ Close one of the oldest continually inhabited streets in Europe. The day is your own but with plenty to see and do.
