Visible Mending/Hand Sewing Workshop

Join us at Tetsworth Memorial Hall to learn simple, yet mindful hand sewing skills for the repair and enhancement of textiles, including knitwear. We will look at the many ways that your much-loved garments can be revived using Sashiko and Boro techniques, decorative hand stitching, mending and embellishment.

Sample suggestions will be shown in the form of repaired garments and photographs of some “before and after” repairs, available at the commencement of and during the workshop to offer ideas and inspiration. 

Donated garments and haberdashery, fabric scraps, buttons, braids, lace, scissors etc will be provided.
