The Royal Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Cruise

The beautiful Wye Valley is Border Country fought over by the English and Welsh. The Royal Forest is a fairy tale Queen of Forests. With wonderful scenery all day, a River Wye Cruise, with cream tea included, is a great day out for those who like to see a lot without walking too far.

We will meet our Blue Badge Guide at the Severn Bridge and drive into the Forest for our morning refreshments. We then go on to historic Monmouth for free time and lunch. From there we are taken to our all-weather barge at Symonds Yat for an hour-long cruise along the river Wye. If we’re lucky, we’ll see kestrels, buzzards, and perhaps a peregrine falcon! At the end of the cruise, the cream tea is served at a nearby hotel, after which we head for home around 4.45pm.
