The Art of Geli-Printing - Morning Workshop

 Helen Cooper, from The Butterfly Effect Studio, known to us for her fused glass workshops and needle-felting, returns to lead a session on the fascinating art of geli-printing.

Geli-printing is quickly becoming a favourite printmaking technique. With just a little bit of paint and a few random objects, it will quickly become one of your favourite art forms, too! Printmaking has a rich history dating back centuries, evolving from traditional methods to contemporary techniques that blend innovation with tradition.

Helen will introduce us to this versatile technique using soft, flexible, silicone gel plates to produce immediate, professional-quality results.  Copy paper, Teabag paper, wet strength tissue and fabric can all be used to introduce textures and colours. Helen will show us how to experiment with all these, and more, to create stunning, original papers that make this technique such a favourite among artists and crafters alike.
