About the Event

You remember ‘speed dating for crafts’?

There are six crafts on offer and you will be asked to choose what you’d like to do, in order of preference. You will undertake two crafts in the morning and two in the afternoon. We will do our best to give you as many of your preferences as possible.

All materials are ready for you to have a wonderful crafty day – who knows where it will lead?

Choose from the following activities:

SUGAR PASTE FLOWERS

Wow your family and friends with a special cake decoration hand crafted by you. Learn new techniques to finely craft beautiful flowers from sugar paste and set yourself up for greater things!

EMBELLISHED FLOWER BROOCH

Now is your opportunity to create a flower brooch. Its hand sewn and the kit provides everything you need. It will be available to make in a range of colours. Very relaxing.

CHRISTMAS CARDS

What could be nicer than receiving a handmade card, fashioned with love? All of your friends will be so impressed and you will find it easy to produce stunning results. You will have 2-3 different cards to take away plus the knowledge on how to produce them at home.

NATURAL DECORATIONS

Make five-point stars out of natural willow. Create a beautiful rustic decoration that you can make as big or as small as you want. They would make a lovely alternative to a wreath on the front door.

A SMALL WIRED CELEBRATION POSY

Why not have a go at making a small wired celebration posy with fresh foliage. This can be used as a corsage, a Christmas or Birthday favour, or maybe a decoration for a special gift box.

KNITTING WITH BEADS AND SEQUINS

Calling all knitters! Come and learn the technique of incorporating beads and sequins into your knitting so that you can decorate and embellish your knitted works of art! It would be helpful if you can cast on and do knit and purl stitches. You will need to bring a pair of size 8 knitting needles. Wool, beads, sequins and instructions for you to take away will be provided.

Tickets are non-refundable

Please bring your own lunch, your own mugs plus £3 cash for materials which will be taken on the door.
