Reducing the Risk

We’re delighted to welcome Emma Teasdale from Reducing the Risk to our Public Affairs Zoom event. 

Emma will explain her role as the Community and Friends Officer and how raising awareness of domestic abuse, and engaging and empowering communities and individuals is vital.

The impact of domestic abuse on the victim and on children – even when they have achieved safety – is severe and long-lasting. Anyone can experience domestic abuse but some people – particularly women – are more likely to be victims. Abuse has no limits and may be psychological, physical, sexual, financial, or emotional.

Reducing the Risk is a local Oxfordshire charity that supports victims of domestic abuse.  Its core purpose is to promote the safety and empowerment of victims of domestic abuse and reduce their risk of harm. This is a subject at the heart of the WI.
