About the Event
Focusing in particular on British artists and the art produced under the aegis of the War Artists' Advisory Committee, this talk looks at the paintings of Edward Ardizzone, Eric Ravilious and Henry Moore, among others. Their images tell us about the horrors of conflict but also about the moments of calm, camaraderie and beauty amid the horror.
