About the Event

Maybe the first image that springs to mind at the mention of Claude Monet is of waterlilies. Or possibly haystacks in a field. Or the façade of Rouen Cathedral. One of the most well-loved artists of the last two hundred years, Monet was a hard-working and highly skilled painter whose picture Impression, Sunrise gave its name to a revolutionary artistic movement and who provided us with many works of art that have thrilled generations. Possibly more than any other group of artists, the Impressionists’ beautiful paintings connect us with the natural world and provide comfort and escapism.
