Introduction to Patchwork & Quilting

Many of Oxfordshire WI members are accomplished needlewomen. No argument with that statement but it is also true that there are those who would like to expand their skill set to embrace patchwork and quilting. It is for this reason that Jane Probitts and Kay Shortland are running workshops to introduce you to the art … or is it a craft?

They plan to embrace the recycling aspect – you will be working with recycled men’s shirts, and they will guide you through the creation of a “Disappearing Nine Patch block”. It’s huge fun, totally non-scary. There is no doubt, the day will be engaging, informative and skill building. 

You should bring a working sewing machine that you are able to operate, a packed lunch and a great deal of enthusiasm!

We will also collect £5 for materials on the day.
