About the Event

Expertly told by John Ericson, a popular NADFAS speaker. Inns and public houses are a rich part of Britain’s heritage, and their idiosyncratic names and signs provide us with some fascinating stories and artwork.

Who could fail to be intrigued by stories behind ‘The Drunken Duck’ or ‘The Blazing Donkey‘ or even ‘I am the Only Running Footman’?

A light-hearted amusing lecture by an expert.

“Few things are more pleasant than a village graced with a good church, a good priest and a good pub!”

Refreshments and cake on arrival; please bring your own mug
