About the Event

Do you still drive – are you as good as you ever were? The number of drivers over the age of 80 is now getting close to two million. Most people will continue to drive long after retirement because their cars are still by far the most convenient transport option for them - one they are not keen to give up. In the next twenty years, the number of male drivers over 70 will double, and that of female drivers will treble.

We are privileged to have Ken Merry with us from the Institute of Advanced Motorists to consider this topic. His talk will highlight what we can expect as we age and how we can mitigate any would-be problems. He will also tell us about how we should behave on the roads and offer solutions on making us as safe as possible.

Older drivers are safer than young drivers…
