About the Event
When Pippa Simou was diagnosed in 2017 with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), the diagnosis highlighted for her the lack of understanding and services for women with the condition. The largest group of people being diagnosed with ADHD in the UK currently are women in their forties, often following the diagnosis of a child.
Pippa started ‘The ADD-vantage' in 2020, offering support services for women and girls with ADHD, to help them to understand and grow into their symptoms. The ‘end goal’ of ‘The ADD-vantage’ is to recognise and celebrate the potential benefits and personal strengths, which come with ADHD.
A coach and mentor to women and girls with ADHD, Pippa was recently awarded an MSc in Psychology.
Join us for this virtual event, which builds upon the current WI campaign “Thinking Differently: Autistic and ADHD Women and Girls”, where Pippa takes us on her personal and professional journey as a woman with ADHD.
