About the Event
You are invited to come with us to visit the world-famous WWII Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park. You will have heard of Alan Turing and his colleagues who deciphered the German ENIGMA code, which shortened the length of the war by two years. Despite the importance of the work, there was a problem getting sufficient resources. You will see how they overcame this with ‘Colossus’ and its 1,600 vacuum tubes – vastly different from the tiny computers of today. Such is the importance of the site, Bletchley Park was chosen to host the world’s first Artificial Intelligence Summit in November 2023.
