Time to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, this talk will explore some of the highlights of the vast and wide-ranging collection assembled by the royal family over the centuries. Moving from magnificent painted portraits by Van Dyck and Vermeer to exquisite miniatures by Hans Holbein and sketches by Leonardo da Vinci. Lots of these can be seen at Windsor Castle or the Queen’s Gallery in London but this talk takes you behind the scene to tell you stories of how this art collection was formed. So come and join us with a glass of fizz to toast the Queen and to listen to an interesting talk.
