A Day Out in Worcester and The Christmas Market

Once again the Out and About Committee have organised a trip which we are sure you will enjoy – we are going to Worcester!   Over the centuries Worcester has undergone many transformations, from being the centre of religious life, surviving (mostly) the Dissolution of the Monasteries, through to the very real possibility of housing the War Cabinet during World War Two. Then fast forward into the 1950’s and 60’s when a lot of the medieval centre was demolished and rebuilt. However, there is still a significant area of medieval Worcester remaining, examples of which can be seen along City Walls Road, Friar Street and New Street – so well worth exploring.
