Coronovirus Update – Friday 20th March 2020
Following the announcement by the government at 5 pm on Wednesday 18th March 2020, Denman will postpone all on site courses and most events from Monday 23 March 2020 until 1st July 2020. Please note that we will review all future courses at the earliest alongside the guidelines from the government and will update you accordingly.
In line with our previously stated commitment, the college will continue to play its part in the wider collective effort to keep our staff, tutors, volunteers and communities as safe as possible.
In our letter from Wednesday, we mentioned the significant financial impact a closure will have on Denman and therefore we re-iterate our message of considering postponing or accepting a credit for any future course that you have booked. The decision however still remains yours and so please let us know how you would like to proceed. We request your utmost patience whilst we process any refunds.
We also hope that with the systems and technology already embedded at the college we will be able to continue to keep you engaged with a wide range of courses online. Please bear with us whilst we trial this new approach under the current circumstances.
As a consequence of this closure, many of our staff will be working from home to minimise non-essential contact. We therefore request you contact us only for urgent enquiries while we get this established and do so by email on firstname.lastname@example.org All emails will be responded as soon as possible and your patience and support would be very much appreciated. Next week we anticipate establishing an alternative telephone line but again request your patience whilst we attempt to coordinate this with our internal teams and external support.
Thank you for your continuing support and working in partnership with us and we will continue to update you where necessary.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Denman very soon.
