Oxfordshire WI committees and other activities
Nothing would happen without our team of volunteers and we are always looking for more enthusiastic members to help on our committees. If you are interested come along to a meeting and find out more, you will be made very welcome. Meetings are usually held in the office at Tackley and some are held in the evening.

Combined Arts: Chairman - Teresa Allen
This committee gives members opportunities to learn new and improve on existing skills in all aspects of the arts. Visits to art galleries, museums and theatres are arranged by this group, which also organises the Christmas social evening. Auditions for speakers are also organised by this committee.
Communications & Marketing: Chairman -
This committee is responsible for having the oversight for internal and external communications for Oxfordshire WI. In particular, it produces our in-house magazine, Oxfordshire Inspires.
Home & Garden: Chairman - Graeme Gettings
This committee aims to encourage and maintain a high standard in crafts, horticulture, food production and presentation and to recommend and promote the development of home economics by organising competitions, exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops.
Membership Support: Chairman - Hilary Dix
This committee mainly consists of WI Advisers and is responsible for all aspects and development of WIs. It offers help, advice and training to members and encourages the promotion of the aims of the WI.
Out & About: Chairman - Hilary Dix
This committee is responsible for organising day trips. Always interested in new ideas for places to visit.
Public Affairs: Chairman - Sarah Griffey
This committee aims to foster an interest in, and encourage members to participate in national and local campaigns, resolutions and public affairs and to ensure that all members have regular access to relevant information and resources.
Culture & Science: Chairman - Catherine Blaxhall
This committee organises a range of events highlighting science, heritage and history at home and abroad.
Activities Team
This team provides a varied programme which includes well being, giving members the opportunity to create Health and Happiness of both body and mind.
Digital Team
This team is here to help members and WIs with all things digital.
Holiday Team
This team organises holidays both in the UK and abroad.
